Instructor Program
H.E.L.P. Instructor Program
Human & Animal Emergency Lifeline Preparedness
Thank you for your interest in becoming a certified H.E.L.P. Instructor. Our program was designed with transparency, affordability, and long-term support in mind — with the ultimate goal of empowering professionals to teach life-saving skills in both human and animal emergencies, while fostering a supportive community for those working in pet care industries.
Program Overview
The H.E.L.P. Instructor Certification prepares you to confidently teach Pet CPR and First Aid using current, veterinary-approved practices. This foundational certification equips you to lead life-saving classes for pet professionals, pet parents, and emergency responders alike.
In addition to Pet CPR/First Aid instruction, certified instructors have the opportunity to become more involved in the broader H.E.L.P. Team. With additional training, instructors may become qualified to teach:
Emergency Preparedness – Covering evacuation planning, basic first aid kits, disaster readiness for pets and people, and more.
Personal Safety and Crisis Readiness – Designed to empower pet professionals with tools for situational awareness, field safety, and handling emergencies in real-world settings.
Peer Support for Pet Professionals – Focused on wellness, mental health awareness, and building a supportive network within the grooming, training, rescue, and veterinary communities.
These additional teaching tracks allow instructors to expand their impact, serve as leaders in their communities, and support the H.E.L.P. mission in a deeper, more meaningful way.

The H.E.L.P. Instructor Membership fee supports the secure maintenance of our student records database, ensuring accurate tracking for certifications, recertifications, and digital student access. It also helps us provide ongoing program updates, teaching resources, and instructor support. Your membership helps us stay compliant, organized, and responsive—so you can focus on teaching while we take care of the backend.
Access to H.E.L.P. Peer Support for Pet Professionals
Monthly online meetings and wellness check-ins
Ongoing access to our peer support team and resources when needed
Instructor updates and support materials as the program evolves
Teaching Tools & Materials
When instructors teach a class, the following are available, and one must be utilized for each student:
Student digital downloads – $5 per download, purchased by the student directly from HELP
Optional hardcopy student books – available for purchase for instructors only at wholesale pricing (can be sold at retail)
This structure allows instructors to maintain flexibility in how they deliver the course while creating a revenue stream that supports their business and offsets their initial investment.
Why Choose H.E.L.P. Over the Competition?
Compared to other programs priced at $1,795 for a 3-day course — which does not include starter materials and requires instructors to purchase student books for every class — H.E.L.P. offers:
A lower startup cost with starter materials included
Greater autonomy and opportunity for revenue with optional add-ons
Built-in support systems for instructor wellness and professional growth
A modern, relevant approach that includes peer support, a feature no other program currently offers
Final Note
H.E.L.P. is more than a certification. It’s a community. It’s a mission to protect people and pets. And it’s an opportunity to make a difference, while building a sustainable teaching model for yourself and others.
We would love to welcome you to the team.
To begin your journey, we ask that you please fill out this questionnaire and start the application process. Not everyone who applies will be accepted. We’re not looking for any instructors; we’re looking for the right instructors who understand our philosophy and how important peer support is.
